"The last 2 days are the lowest for Indian Politics" - I will not repeat what Rajdeep Sardesai, Prannoy Roy, Barkha Dutt etc etc have said numerous times. The snaps/media shots of our MPs waving wads of money in front of the cameras accusing Congress of leading them down the moral barometer was hilarious to me...not demoralizing.
Why do we adopt such a holier than thou attitude? I am a simple humble politican not swayed by $$$$s or riches. If our political leaders are so incensed that 3 of his MPs have been tempted to partake of 10 crores to abstain from the Trust Vote, why is he so.... this must be like petty cash for these people - lying around.
Ask any political leader of some repute:
- Name me one MP /MLA who has not taken money in his lifetime for wrong/mis use of power to fulfill favors?
- Name one year in Politics where horse trading has not happened...even simple Govt jobs are traded?
- Can we say with clear consience that all our Government nominees have a clear record - no criminal charges, have never got someone raped, murdered, looted, extorted....
BJP should have Godhra and Babri Massacre on their conscience - All Congress may have done is bribed, but the BJP - RSS combine together murdered 1000 s of people in the name of religious empowerment.
and we talk of morality.... che che......
